The Douglas custom engineered products division specializes in the design and fabrication of process equipment for most major industries in North America.

The expertise of the engineers, planners, welding specialists and production workers can be relied upon with confidence to manufacture equipment to the most stringent specifications.

This division has successfully manufactured Chemical Reactors, Pressure Vessels, Towers, Heat Exchangers, Reboilers and Nuclear Components.

For design and drafting, our Engineering Department uses state of the art computer software such as AutoCAD. The majority of our products are fabricated from stainless steel, Nickel alloys and clad material.

Following are examples of typical projects undertaken by the division:

This M&D digester is 37 m (120') long x 5 m (17') high and weighs 145 tons. It was shipped from Montreal to a Vancouver Island pulp mill.

Here you find a duplex stainless steel reactor vessel. Our Douglas Industrial division was first in Canada to pioneer the fabrication of pressure vessels using this material.

Shipment of this one-piece column to a petro-chemical refinery in Alberta called for the use of (3) rail cars and swivel bolsters to carry the 55 m (180') length.

A skid mounted system complete with piping and instruments, for use on the Hibernia Offshore platform. Duplex stainless steel was used for vessels and piping.
